The Greatest Bonus (Great Fairy TF)

“Stupid rain,” David mumbled as he stepped through the door of his local game store. Today was the day Hyrule Warriors Legends released for the 3DS, and David was here to collect the copy of the game he had preordered. However, David’s car was currently being repaired, so he had to walk everywhere for the time being. It was normally not a problem; everything he needed was within walking distance. But of course, today of all days, it was raining very heavily, and the wind had absolutely destroyed his umbrella on the way here.

He quickly made his way up to the counter, where the store clerk was eying his completely drenched clothes. “How can I help you today?” the clerk asked, trying to not draw attention to how wet David currently was.

“Yeah, I have a preorder to pick up,” David replied, pulling out his membership card to prove his claim.

Once the clerk had verified what it was David had ordered, he said, “Alright, I’ll just go get that for you,” and he headed into the back room.

While the clerk was in there, David noticed a large stack of unlabelled cardboard boxes sitting next to the counter. The clerk soon returned, game in hand, allowing David to ask, “What’s up with all the boxes?”

“Oh, those are the preorder bonuses for Hyrule Warriors. Apparently they’re a bunch of different things based on the characters, but my boss won’t let me open up the boxes and label them, so which one you get is all luck. Feel free to pick one out.”

David looked at the large pile of boxes, considering which one he might take. He realised that, while he might be tempted to take one of the bigger ones, he would have to walk home through the rain with whichever one he chose, and instead opted to get a smaller item. He took one of the smaller boxes from the top of the pile and handed it to the clerk, who placed it in a bag along with his game. After paying off the game, the cashier handed him the bag, wished him a good day, and David left to brave the rain again on the way home.

Ultimately, David’s game and bonus item made it home mostly undamaged, save for a bit of water, but the same could not be said for David himself. Along with the wind and rain itself, he’d also been sprayed by several passing cars driving through puddle further dousing his clothes and body with water and mud. By the time he got home, he wasn’t even really thinking about playing his new game. He was more focused on getting out of these wet and dirty clothes and having a nice long shower.

After reaching his house and heading inside, he plopped the bag he got from the store down on his kitchen bench and emptied it. Although he wanted to get clean and dry, he figured he should make sure the stuff he bought was still fine. The game itself was fine, safe for a bit of water on the case, which was quickly removed with a tea towel. The box, on the other hand, was made of cardboard, and thus was rather damp from the rain. With the help of a pair of scissors, David opened up the box to make sure what was inside hadn’t been damaged.

Inside the box was a glass jar, made in the style of The Legend of Zelda’s bottle item, However, that wasn’t all. Inside the jar, which was sealed with a large cork, was an action figure of Link, based on his appearance in Hyrule Warriors. David briefly wondered why there two items had been paired, one being packaged inside the other, however he soon remembered what one of Link’s unlockable weapons in the game was; the Great Fairy. The Great Fairy weapon would shrink Link down and seal him inside, letting you instead play as the Great Fairy. It was a rather strange idea for a weapon, and it certainly wasn’t David’s favourite character/weapon combination to use, but it was a nice bonus for preordering the game regardless.

Like the game, the bottle seemed mostly undamaged save to a bit of water that had seeped through the cardboard, which was quickly removed with the same tea towel he used for the game. Now that he had made sure his purchases were unharmed, David grabbed some clean clothes from his bedroom, before heading into his bathroom to have a shower. He stripped off his dirty clothes, throwing them into his laundry basket, stepped into the shower, and turned on the water. Unbeknownst to him, back out in his kitchen, the bottle he had gotten from the game store was now shining with an otherworldly light. However, he didn’t need to bother himself with a glowing bottle; he’d soon have a whole new set of problems on his hands.

As the water ran down his body, David began to feel… something. It was strange, but he couldn’t quite put his finger on it. For now, he was content to just enjoy the warmth of the shower after what he’d been through this morning. What he didn’t notice was that his feet were beginning to change. They shrunk a bit, becoming more slender and feminine. A layer of bright pink nail polish applied itself to his toenails, which had grown a little longer. The hair on his legs fell out, being washed down the drain, leaving his skin smooth. His legs grew a bit longer, and slimmed down.

As David reached for the soap, he noticed his longer, hairless legs. “Hm? …Weird.” He was pretty sure his legs weren’t that long, and that he didn’t shave, but he just passed it off as his mind playing tricks on him. It had been a stressful morning, after all. However, his legs weren’t done changing. Just as he looked away, while his calves remained slim, his thighs began to expand, filling out to feminine proportions. His hips pushed outwards, almost causing him to lose balance and fall. While trying to regain his balance, his butt expanded to match his new hips. Now David knew for certain he wasn’t just imagining things.

“What the heck!?” he asked aloud. He stared at legs and hips, which now looked more like they belonged on a woman. The only evidence that this was the lower half of a man was his genitals hanging down at the front. However, it wouldn’t be the lower half of a man for much longer. David noticed his junk was starting to get smaller. “No. No! Please!” he yelled at no one in particular, as slowly but surely, his genitals were sucked up into his body, leaving just a slit at the front. David was in shock, just staring at where his penis used to be as the showerhead continued to pour water onto him, running down the sensitive skin of his lower half. He was so in shock that he was only barely aware of the fact the transformation was still going, now pushing his waist inwards.

“Why… what… how?” So many questions were racing through David’s head; how was this even possible, and why was it happening to him in particular? While David tried to reconcile his thoughts, his spine stretched out a little, making him a bit taller. His arms grew to match his new height, becoming much slimmer in the process, and losing any hair that had grown on them. His fingers became long and slender, giving his hands a more feminine appearance, and his fingernails grew out to almost triple their normal length, gaining a layer of pink nail polish as they went.

As his shoulders pushed inwards, David realised he was more female than male at this point all he had left of himself was his face and his chest. Realising that he was no longer really in the mood to have a shower, and he was clean enough, David reached over to turn off the water. However, just was he did, he felt his chest pull forward, knocking him off balance and causing him to slip, falling to his hands and knees. While kneeling there, the water from the shower flowing onto his back, David felt the force from inside his chest continue to pull, pulling his flesh out along with it. The weight continued to build up on his chest until it finally stopped, leaving his with a pair of breasts that, from David’s perspective, felt like they were almost as big as his head. They felt very sensitive, not helped by the fact that water was still running down them thanks to the shower.

David slowly got up, not quite used to how much his new “assets” were affecting his centre of balance, and finally turned off the shower. His body was now completely female below his neck. “Jesus…” He reached for a towel, but found he surprisingly didn’t need was, as his body was practically dry already. He would have thought that was strange, but it might as well be considered normal compared to what he had just gone through, so David just considered it a convenience for now. As he stepped out of the shower, his ears grew out to an elf-like point. He turned to the bathroom mirror to get a look at himself. Even though the mirror wasn’t large enough to get a full view of his body, he could still see his head and most of his torso, and that was enough to tell his head looked very out of place on this body, even with the new pointy ears. The ears did give him a hint to what was happening to him, though. “Why do I have elf ears?” he wondered.

He wasn’t left looking like that for long, however, as his facial hair suddenly fell out, leaving his face just as smooth as the rest of his body. His neck thinned down, removing his adams apple and giving him a brand new voice. Right before his eyes, his lips plumped up dramatically, and his nose slimmed down a bit. “Oh my!” he shouted, getting a taste of his new voice. It was unmistakeably, and despite his intentions behind the exclamation, it sounded almost sensual. If he couldn’t tell who he was by the ears and the voice, David was about to receive his next big clue, as his hair, including his eyebrows, suddenly turned pink, and grew incredibly quickly, not stopping until it reached the floor, and even then it still grew a little longer.

“Am… Am I becoming the-“ David’s thoughts were cut off as his eyes were suddenly shut tight, out of his control. “Ah!” He felt his eyes burning, as his irises slowly transitioned to a purple colour. He felt makeup being applied all over his face, on his lips and eyelids in particular. Finally, he felt his eyelashes growing bigger, until they were long and over exaggerated, and coloured black and red.

David slowly opened his eyes, somewhat knowing what to expect, but not being particularly ready for it. Staring back at him was the face of the Great Fairy, specifically the Great Fairy from Ocarina of Time, Majora’s Mask, and most importantly, Hyrule Warriors. He had a feeling he knew what did this to him. “That bottle must have been magic or something,” David mumbled to himself. He moved to exit the bathroom, to investigate the bottle, but stopped when he remembered he was currently naked. Even if he was just walking around in the privacy of his own him, David didn’t really want to be walking around naked in this body. The clothes he had gotten before his shower definitely wouldn’t fit him properly after what had happened.

“Hm, maybe I should just wrap a towel around myself,” David idly thought aloud. Before he could act upon his plan though, the bathroom window suddenly blew open, the wind outside blowing a whole storm of leaves inside. The leaves swarmed around David like a bunch of angry bees, but instead of attacking him, they simply clung to his body. The brown and yellow leaves formed something akin to a crop top and a pair of pants, although they still left nothing to the imagination. On the other hand, the leaves which were still green wrapped around his arms, legs, and hair line vines, tying his hair into three separate ponytails. For the purpose of walking around the house, David decided these leaves covered him enough to be considered clothing, and left the bathroom.

Heading to his kitchen, Dave found his game and the bottle were still on the kitchen bench where he left them, but now the bottle seemed to glow slightly. It seemed almost like some sort of ball of light was trapped inside the bottle with the Link action figure. David had a bad feeling about this, but he was also rather curious. “This is probably a bad idea, but…” he trailed of, as he picked up the bottle off the counter. No matter what angle he looked at it, the light definitely seemed to be coming from inside the bottle. So, throwing caution to the wind, Dave attempted to pull the cork out of the bottle, an action made much difficult by his incredibly long fingernails.

When David finally managed to get the cork out, his suspicions about this being a bad idea were realised, as a whirlpool of water suddenly erupted out of the bottle. “Ahh!” he screamed, as the water hit his near-naked body. The water wasn’t the only thing that was inside the bottle, however, as the glowing ball of light David had seen before pulling the cork out floated up out of the centre of the whirlpool, and headed straight towards David. The moment it hit him, David felt himself shrinking. Considering he had already just been transformed into a woman, David normally wouldn’t have been freaking out about the shrinking as much as he was, but because of him shrinking, the whirlpool had a greater pull on him. He continued to shrink until he was about the size of the Link action figure, desperately trying to swim out of the whirlpool. But it was too strong, and pulled him ever closer to the centre.

When he reached the centre, however, he wasn’t simply pushed down into the bottle that had caused it. In fact, the bottle seemed to no longer exist, as David continued to plummet down into the watery depths, being able to see nothing but rushing currents around him. Afraid that he might drown, he kept up his efforts, trying to swim to the surface, but the current kept him down, until suddenly it just stopped, and David rocketed to the surface. So quickly did he rise, in fact, that he launched up into the air above the water. But instead of falling back down into the water, David merely floated there, suspended in the air.

Other than the floating, and the fact he was already dry again, the first thing David noticed was that he was no longer in his house. He seemed to be in some sort of elaborate shrine, floating above a fountain. He recognised this as one of the fairy fountains in Hyrule Warriors. The second thing he noticed was how big he was. After his transformation, he was definitely taller than the average woman, but now it seemed like he was practically a giant. It seemed appropriate, considering whose body he had now, but it still caught him off guard.

“So… I’m a Great Fairy now,” David said to himself, looking around his fountain, “And I’m actually in the Zelda world. Well… it could be worse, I guess.” This certainly wasn’t a role David would have chosen for himself if he were to insert himself into Hyrule Warriors, but at the very least, he was a very powerful magical entity, not really in danger of being killed at any point, and he still resembled a human, even if it was a human of the opposite sex. Plus, if Link ever felt like using the Great Fairy weapon, he’d get a chance to go out and join the action.

Speaking of action, David was suddenly alerted to the sound of clashing steal just outside. He couldn’t see what was going on, but it seemed like a battle was currently in motion. He heard footsteps rushing towards his fountain, and a female voice shout, “Come! We must seek the aid of the Great Fairy!”

It seemed his assistance would be required sooner rather than later. David sighed. “Alright, here goes nothing.”
